    How to push back without creating friction, guide with confidence, and build stronger client relationships

    Are you the wedding pro who says “sure!” when you really mean NO? Apologizes for things that aren’t your fault? Agrees to the impossible timeline, bends the rule, takes the booking you already know you’ll regret...all because you don’t want a client or vendor partner to be mad at you? Yeah. We need to talk.

    Because when people are trusting us with one of the biggest, most expensive days of their lives, your clients need more from you than "yes" to everything they ask. We’ll dig into why we’re so afraid to push back, how language and tone completely change the way people receive what we say, when a simple NO is exactly what’s needed, and how to use your experience and expertise to lead people toward better decisions. Because you CAN tell people no...and not only have them like the answer, they might just like and trust YOU even more because of it!

    Drawing on her background in public relations, nonprofit leadership with Make-A-Wish and managing an $18 million national account in the male-dominated world of industrial safety, Jen Trotter brings a unique perspective to communication and problem solving. Add 30+ years building Lip Service Makeup into one of DFW’s most trusted and highly awarded bridal beauty teams and her current role as National Director of Membership Retention for WIPA, and you get decades of "in the trenches" experience paired with leadership at the highest level of the wedding industry. As a national speaker, educator and communication strategist, Jen teaches others how to navigate big personalities, solve problems and communicate effectively when the stakes are high. Her secret sauce? Knowing what to say, how to say it...and when to say NO.
