Welcome, we appreciate your interest in becoming a member of the Society of Wedding Professionals!  Whether you're new to DFW, a growing company, or a veteran within the event industry, SWP has added value for yourself and your organization. Membership in The Society of Wedding Professionals grants you many opportunities for building relationships through networking, growing your event knowledge through education, and membership savings. 

Annual membership is from January through December each year and will be prorated for new members that register mid-term.

Membership Requirements

  1. You must be in business in the Wedding or Special Events industry for a minimum of two years.
  2. You must be sponsored by another member of the Society of Wedding Professionals, OR you will be required to submit two business referrals (name, phone, and email), as well as two client referrals (name, phone, and email).
  3. You must agree to the Society of Wedding Professionals Code of Ethics.

Membership Dues

Membership dues are determined by the number of employees that your company would have attend the SWP events. Bring your co-workers and save!  Bundle memberships allow for additional members to be added at reduced pricing.

Individual Society Member: $195/yr   Apply Now

Please Note:

Once you have submitted your application for review by the Board of Directors, you may be contacted to supply additional materials as deemed necessary.  To expedite your application, please be sure to complete all fields - especially if you do not have a Sponsor Member.  Membership approval may take up to four weeks.

For membership payments and renewals, if you'd like to pay by check, at the end of the application or renewal process, click the 'Invoice Me' button.  You will be emailed an invoice.  Please print off a copy of the invoice and mail it and your payment to the following address:
